In 2012, executive leadership committed to designing a comprehensive development program for Cox Auto’s high potential talent across North America. They partnered with Bluepoint to help design and deliver a program that focuses on leading self, leading others, leading teams and leading the organization. The Leader’s EDGE program is split into three instructor-led, two-day modules over the course of nine months. In between each of the three modules, there are multiple application coaching sessions and facilitator-led trio coaching sessions to reinforce and hone the leadership skills introduced in the modules prior. The pilot program in 2012 was a huge success and has continued every year since with versions that are tailored to the needs of the upcoming cohort. Manheim has consistently received fantastic participant feedback and enthusiasm about the Leader’s EDGE program, with plans to continue offering it every year.
