According to a survey conducted by the University of North Carolina, a staggering 65% of respondents expressed that meetings interrupt their workflow, while an even larger 71% deemed meetings as both unproductive and inefficient. Meetings are meant to be a way to connect with a team, increase productivity, and inspire, but are often instead seen as draining and a waste of time because of how they are managed and lead. This is because we frequently have too many meetings and with a few team members who tend to dominate the conversations. The goal isn’t to eliminate meetings completely though, but rather to eliminate the ones that are ineffective and time-consuming.
