Matt is a Senior Facilitator and Leadership Coach with a passion for developing leadership effectiveness and navigating change. He is an ICF Coach and brings proven strategy, people and change leadership expertise in both Fortune 500 and mid-market organizations.
Matt has been fortunate to work and develop with progressive companies such as BMW, Unilever, Menasha Corporation and Compass Group. He’s held VP and Senior Director positions and led multi-leveled teams as large as 300 full time employees.
Matt started managing his first team, leading a change agenda and benefitting from a leadership and development program during the same year at Unilever. Soon after benefitting from being a participant in the program and having a coach, Matt started certifying as a coach and has been taking related programs and certifications since.
Matt refers to the years that followed as his time in the ‘leadership laboratory’. As Matt’s corporate career progressed and he took on increasingly complex business transformation agendas, he would bring his learnings as a coach to his engagements with Leaders, Teams and Clients. This refining process of trial and error had a profound impact on Matt’s effectiveness as a leader and informed many of his perspectives about leadership.
As a full-time Executive Coach and Facilitator for the past two years, Matt’s diverse functional and industry background have enabled him to relate with a breadth of Clients and Client agendas. Matt actively partners with Leaders in C-Suite, Executive, Senior Management and High-Potential roles. He has been fortunate to Coach Leaders in numerous industries, including: banking, commercial real estate, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, health care, oil and gas, plastics and chemicals, professional services, retail, technology, and utilities.
Our collective experience and opportunities as professionals and leaders have changed dramatically as a result of the digital era and recovering from a global pandemic. As a Coach, Matt partners with Leaders to explore their context to distill their most impactful priorities and to explore their Leadership to recognize the approaches that served in the past and might need to adapt in the future. Some of the most common post-pandemic Coaching topics include: mindset and core beliefs, energy burn, strategic influence, thought leadership, facilitating important information flow (via coaching, feedback and tough conversations), and recalibrating the balance between doing and relationships.
