Simon Paice is best known for his knowledge depth and strong sense of cultural awareness, reflected in his inclusive and engaging facilitation style. He encourages his clients to actively share and learn from each other, and he creates a relaxed learning environment with a gentle sense of humor. Simon established his ability to share messages and motivate others earlier in his career when he worked as a communications manager to launch a major insurance business in the UK. 

Simon has had a comprehensive and varied career working for multinational companies across a range of industries and countries. Most recently, he worked as the Asia-Pacific learning manager for General Electric (GE). As part of the company’s corporate university, he specialized in facilitating a range of in-class and virtual learning experiences primarily focused on people leadership, employee engagement, and change management.  

Simon has devoted over 20 years of his career to the financial services industry, including six years at the investment company Standard Life Investment/abrdn. Simon has also coached and accredited other learning/HR professionals and used his skills and expertise to help clients with their career management goals. His clients mirrored GE’s global business footprint, which is centered around aviation, healthcare, power generation, and renewables. He has additionally had exposure to oil & gas clients. 

Based in Sydney, Australia, Simon has traveled and worked extensively throughout Asia and Europe. He is particularly familiar with Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and South Korea—where he briefly lived and worked in 2014. He has partnered with internal customers at all seniority levels, shaping his nuanced sense of cultural awareness.  

Simon holds a master’s degree in HR management & coaching from the University of Sydney and a post-graduate certificate in management development from the University of Salford in the UK. His first degree is in international relations. He confesses to being a technology nerd and enjoys travel and photography.
